What is Vacation Employment?
Vacation employment will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about being a Chartered Accountant, it is an interesting interactive program, the goal of which is to experience what it is a Trainee accountant does.
Vacation Employment Programmes are run in all of our major offices, either during the mid-year vacation in June/July or the year-end vacation between November and February.
What does vacation employment entail?
Students spend between one and two weeks working with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Students who are invited for vacation work for the first time will take part in our induction week which provides them with the opportunity to gain a better understanding of PricewaterhouseCoopers and the auditing environment. Students who are reinvited for vac will be allocated to one of our audit teams and will go out with the audit team to a client. They will be given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and will be allocated sections of work to complete.
Our induction week is well-known for being an exciting, fun, informative and memorable experience! Students who attend our induction course are equipped with greater knowledge of the firm, the auditing environment and often have made friends for life.
