What is the actual contribution of large companies to the fiscus?

The results of the third annual PricewaterhouseCoopers Total Tax Contribution Survey for large South African companies have now been released.

The 2009 Survey took place against a backdrop of the financial crisis and an economic recession. The results however show that despite the recession, the largest companies in South Africa continue to contribute a significant proportion of the country's overall tax receipts.
