Both the Carbon Tax Act, 2019 and the amendments to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, which make provision for the administration and collection of carbon tax, come into operation on 1 June 2019.
What does your business’s carbon tax readiness look like?
Will your business fall within the carbon tax net? Have you identified the opportunities and allowances available to reduce your carbon tax exposure? How will the other regulations that impact carbon and energy reporting affect your business? Does your response to carbon tax address key exposures to your business?
In our carbon tax workshop we’ll begin by providing an overview of the Carbon Tax Act, including the provisions for the administration and collection of carbon tax under the Customs and Excise Act. This leads into a brief discussion of greenhouse gas emission measurement.
We’ll end off with a discussion around important considerations for your business.
