Youth dialogue broadcast
In celebration of Womenās Month and International Youth Day, weāre broadcasting a dialogue with young people, to hear their stories, learn about the challenges they face, and get their ideas on how to create a better future for the next generation and the role of business in this effort.
Facilitated by Maryam Elgoni, participants are PwC Africa CEO: Dion Shango, Deputy Representative UNICEF South Africa: Muriel Mafico, Raquel Msimango and Karabo Mamome from TechnoGirl and Sherwin September from Naspers Labs.

By 2030, Africa will be home to more than a quarter of the worldās population under the age of 25. By then, young people will make up 60% of the continentās total population1. The change in demographics suggests that Africa will need to expand its pool of highly-skilled employees through the development of cognitive STEM-based skills (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and non-cognitive soft skills like sense-making and social intelligence competencies.
In March, PwC and UNICEF launched a three-year global collaboration, in support of Generation Unlimited, to help upskill millions of young people around the world.
