This, the third publication of the review of trends in the South African mining industry, again focuses on the state of the mining sector in South Africa.

The increase in USD commodity prices in a relatively stable South African rand environment translated into a 36% increase in revenue, doubling in adjusted EBITDA and tripling in net profit. Operating cash flows, however, lagged the improvement as working capital required investment for the future.
