Audit in Gauteng

African Audit Centre of Excellence (CoE)

Help us centralise, standardise and automate audit processes by joining the African Audit Centre of Excellence (CoE). Our team supports audit delivery in less complex and judgmental sections of our audit engagements. These sections include bank and cash; accounts payable; accounts receivable; property, plant and equipment, and payroll. The CoE team is an extension of the audit team but works virtually. The Audit CoE may contact the client directly and exercise judgement as we build trust in the auditing profession.

You will work on clients across all our groups. We cover Consumer and Industrial Products and Services (CIPS); Energy, Utilities and Resources (EU&R); Financial Services – Insurance and Investment Management (FSIIM); Financial Services – Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM); PwC Private, and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT).

Our exposure cuts across the Southern African market.  You will work on clients in African countries such as Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. You will broaden your network as you build your relationships across all industry groups. You will also be allocated to a second audit group for portions of the year.

You will help influence the future of the firm as we redesign the way we work. We work with Alteryx tools across the different sections, and you will play a large part in shaping the way we use technology to deliver sustained outcomes as a community of solvers.

You will become an expert in our sections, enhance your project management skills, and become part of a national team in Assurance.

We audit and provide trusted solutions to  a range of listed entities and have an awesome client base, all around the world.

You will help build trust in society and deliver sustainable outcomes by working with  a diverse set of clients to anticipate and address their most complex business challenges.

The prime focus of our global CIPS practice is the companies and related suppliers within the sectors of automotive, retail and consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, industrial products, transport and logistics, and higher education. CIPS offers extensive industry-specific training and has dedicated knowledge management teams working with all staff.

Energy, Utilities and Resources (EU&R)

Our global client portfolio includes 44% of the Financial Times Global 500 energy, utilities and resources companies, major multinationals listed both locally and internationally, and clients with a market capitalisation worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The skills you'll learn in this industry will help you solve important challenges. You'll also be where the action is. To ensure that we render optimal services to our mining clients, many of our offices are close to our clients’ locations — for instance, we have a PwC office in Secunda, close to many mining operations.

We’re committed to providing our new trainees with holistic and balanced training. Numerous manufacturing companies and service providers offer non-mining exposure, with the benefits of diverse on-the-job training.
