PwC’s South Africa Technology and Innovation Centre celebrates two years of impactful growth and transformation.
Johannesburg, 22 September 2025– PwC South Africa proudly marked the two-year anniversary of its South Africa Technology and Innovation Centre (SATIC), a strategic alliance with PwC UK that launched in July 2023. In just two years, SATIC has grown into a technology-powered and human-led delivery centre, scaling to over 460 professionals with 59% female representation and 89% African, Coloured and Indian employees.
SATIC’s journey is not only one of business transformation but also of meaningful societal impact. A shining example of this is the recent initiative to build a fully equipped library at Eqinisweni Secondary School in Ivory Park. Serving over 2,600 learners from grades 8 to 12, the school is a cornerstone of a vibrant yet underserved community where access to quality educational resources has long been limited.
This library project is a transformative investment in education, equity, and empowerment — directly supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), Quality Education: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. The new space at Eqinisweni will serve as a hub for reading, studying, and access to literature — fostering learning and academic growth for the students.
SATIC has further established strategic partnerships with NPOs, where it has been able to drive initiatives aimed both at equipping young people with digital literacy and technology skills and preparing them for the evolving job market.
“Leading SATIC and having the opportunity to develop a business that works with diverse talented individuals has been an incredible privilege. As we focus on providing our clients with quality service offerings, we are also dedicated to tackling unemployment in South Africa. says Dilan Radia, PwC South Africa Technology and Innovation Centre CEO. “At SATIC, we believe that technology and innovation must serve a higher purpose — one that uplifts communities and creates lasting change. This library is a testament to what’s possible when business success is paired with a deep commitment to social responsibility.”
SATIC has demonstrated that in line with PwC’s societal purpose, we are committed to fulfilling our responsibility to play a key role in the upskilling of the communities that we serve. Our purpose articulates this commitment, and our people demonstrate it. This two-year milestone marks the start of the next era for PwC SATIC — one where innovation and purpose go hand in hand to shape a more sustainable future for all.
As SATIC continues to grow, it remains focused on delivering world-class solutions while nurturing local talent and driving sustainable development across South Africa.
