In the fast-changing world of technology, staying at the forefront of these innovations and collaboration is key to driving business success. Enter SAPHILA 2023, a gathering that brought together industry leaders, experts and clients in the SAP ecosystem.

The event offered a plethora of expert talks around platform and technology, transformation and future solutions with SAP which were led by seasoned professionals and SAP specialists. It also presented an opportunity to dive deep into the latest SAP technologies, best practices and real-world use cases. From the power of AI and human intelligence to lessons in real-world business innovation, the workshops explored various avenues of SAP’s ever-expanding portfolio.

PwC was a proud Gold sponsor of SAPHILA 2023, and the team hosted live demonstrations and a metaverse experience for attendees who visited the exhibition stand. PwC’s SAP team also offered amazing competitions for lucky winners who could build apps using SAP’s Business Technology Platform, and they provided insights into PwC’s Smart Greenfield approach to SAP S/4HANA migrations.

One of the additional innovations at SAPHILA 2023 was the Next Gen stream aimed at students and recent graduates interested in a career within the SAP solvers ecosystem. PwC had three exceptional speakers sharing their personal journeys at the Next Gen stream with the focus of the topic covering their respective futures as SAP solvers.

One question that lingered the most from SAPHILA was the legacy of this year’s event: attendees were interested to learn what their cloud transformation journey would look like.

The PwC SAP team takes an inclusive approach to cloud transformation through Transcend with PwC. Transcend with PwC involves designing cloud strategy, architecture, and governance; guiding sustainable transformation with value-driven business cases; enhancing network adoption and supplier onboarding, and supporting application management services to drive innovation across the cloud lifecycle. This approach aims to de-risk businesses from transformation projects by leveraging existing investment in their cloud technology landscape.

The PwC SAP team’s biggest strength is bringing in the business lens to one of the  leading technology providers in the world. The team’s deep industry perspectives across the PwC Africa network of firms combine business strategy, user experience design and technology to create innovative solutions for clients. The approach aims to bridge the gap between business objectives, customer needs and technological capabilities to drive successful transformations that build trust and deliver sustained outcomes.
