We bring deep experience

PwC has been at the forefront of the development and financing of infrastructure projects both globally and in Africa covering sectors including power and utilities, transport and accommodation. We have worked with governments; international agencies including the World Bank, African Development Bank and Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) as well as utilities, regulators and others to deliver sector reform, restructuring and infrastructure procurement over the last two decades.

We have extensive experience in the development of Public Private Partnerships (PPP), Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects and other infrastructure projects advising government and private sector clients on procurement design and implementation, bid management and project financing on green-field projects and secondary market M&A.

Our project finance advisory service delivers value through strategic options analysis; optimal capital structuring and valuation of assets and companies; identifying and raising finance; and providing support to financial close. We have acted as lead financial advisers to private sector developers and investors seeking to implement IPP and PPP projects, bringing our direct insights and experience in the sourcing of finance from institutional funders, commercial banks, private infrastructure investors and capital markets.

Providing bid management support

Our bid management team supports clients through bid processes, both from the buy-side and from the bid-side. On the buy-side we provide Project Management Offices (PMO) and evaluators services, and on the bid-side we offer a range of support including business case development, financial structure review, site selection and bid documentation development and packaging.
