IT separation and integration

In complex transactions, technology plays a critical role in enabling smooth transitions and minimising disruption. Whether separating a carved-out entity or integrating a newly acquired business, IT is often at the heart of operational continuity and strategic alignment.

We identify critical risks and opportunities early to enable informed and structured planning. Our process starts with assessing IT complexity, mapping key interdependencies, and supporting the development of Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs) to ensure continuity and clarity during the transition.

We work closely with PwC’s Delivering Deal Value team to ensure that IT-specific considerations are embedded in the broader separation or integration strategy. Together, we define the future-state operating model, identify Day 1 and Day 100 priorities, and develop functional workplans across business areas that set out what needs to be done, by whom and by when. Our approach translates assessment findings into actionable roadmaps that maintain business continuity and guide the transition toward the defined future-state.

Post-deal IT execution

Our focus shifts from planning to execution and implementation. We support you in delivering integration or separation plans, ensuring that Day 1 and Day 100 priorities are met with minimal disruption to business-as-usual. This includes managing access and continuity to enable operational readiness across the technology landscape.

We provide structured Project Management Office (PMO) support by subject matter experts to help you stay in control throughout the execution process. Our team tracks synergy outcomes, monitors progress against the technology roadmap and ensures alignment with broader business objectives.
